I’m a Ph.D. student at vialab; my current research is related to using NLP and learner corpora to develop educational applications for non-native English speakers. I’ve been supervised by Dr. Christopher Collins at University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) since 2015 when I started my M.Sc. degree (2017).

In 2013, during my undergraduate program in Brazil (Brazilian Portuguese is my native language), I was granted a full scholarship from the Brazilian  Government to do a 1-year exchange program at UOIT. I obtained my Bachelors of Computer Science degree from Universidade Estadual  Paulista  (UNESP РBrazil) as the top of my class in 2015.

My research interests fall into language learning, data visualization, HCI, recommendation systems, robotics and education.

In my spare time, I like working out; lifting weights, building muscle, playing “Just Dance” and doing some HIIT cardio. Well, I try to be as fit as I can. Once I am a food lover, I work out hard so I can eat more!
